The House
It started as a bakery. The neighborhood decided otherwise.
In November 2018, Lasha Sopromadze opened a small bread shop on River Road with one obsession: shoti made the way it's made in Georgia, slapped onto the hot inner wall of a tone, a clay oven older than any recipe ever written down. People kept coming, and kept asking for more than bread. So the bakery became a kitchen.
Now the ovens run all day: khachapuri pulled bubbling from the fire, khinkali pleated by hand in the back, skewers over charcoal, cakes from the family notebook. The walls carry the old country with them, from qvevri clay jugs and a wagon wheel to the long-table feast paintings of a supra. Ask the staff what to order. They were raised on this food, and they will be right.

The Pantry
Take Georgia home with you.
The shelves along the wall are a small import market of pickled jonjoli, plum tkemali, adjika and Georgian preserves, and the fridge hums with Natakhtari, the cult Georgian lemonade in tarragon green, feijoa and cream. Ask what's new; the answer changes with the shipments.
